A small thing that hides a big unbridledness
Arturia's engineers packed so much into the compact MicroFreak that you'll wonder how they did it. You could say it was a miracle, but it was pure skill and passion for one's work.

Physical simulation, wave synthesis, virtual analog, nothing is more complete and exciting than the MicroFreak oscillator. It's hard to believe such a small synthesizer, but here it is, ready to explore. Awaken your creativity and reward your curiosity with a wide variety of sound palette. The MicroFreak has 11 amazing generators on board, 4 engines specially designed for this model and 7 mods from Mutable Instruments.

On the border of two worlds
Although the MicroFreak is based on a digital generator, it also includes analog filters. Find inspiration with Oberheim's innovative 12dB SEM filter! Create bright leads and matte secondary parts - at your discretion. You can use it however you like: from smoothing out sharp sounds to automating a slice by modulating it with keyboard strokes or the built-in sequencer.

In addition, the MicroFreak has a sequencer and modulation matrix. Thanks to the built-in 5x7 matrix, you can control the cutoff frequency of the filter with the sequencer or by pressing the touch panel. Record up to four automations, edit the pitch at every step, and don't forget to try out the innovative Spice and Dice sequencer features to find happy coincidences. Randomization will help create interesting and original patterns.

Various presets
While exploring the capabilities of a new synth can be a lot of fun in itself, it's nice to be able to quickly flip through some presets for inspiration. MicroFreak contains 128 presets and allows you to create, edit and save your own creations! They can be easily selected, assigned and renamed using the Preset knob.

Classic synthesizer capabilities
With two unique converters and a synchronized LFO, you can really master the MicroFreak with a dedicated control for each parameter. Cycling Envelope allows you to create an advanced looping mode, turning it into an LFO with variable rise, hold and decay times, with exponential, linear or logarithmic curves.

"This keyboard looks amazing"
That's right, that's right. But it's not even a keyboard. This is a printed circuit board. Super flat, without moving parts. Will she play lightning-fast synth solos? How to say, but it's actually better than a traditional keyboard. The 25 MicroFreak touch keys are not only pressure-sensitive, but also equipped with a polyphonic aftertouch effect. This means that each key can control parameters differently, depending on how many times you touch it. You can also use the USB, MIDI and CV outputs to control instruments in DAWs and modular synths. Basically, you can use the MicroFreak as a controller!

Amazing combination
The Arturia MicroFreak is equipped with CV outputs, allowing you to send pitch, gate and pressure signals to any CV/Gate-compatible external or modular synthesizer. You can also connect it to a DAW via USB or use the supplied MIDI cables. This allows you to connect it to your favorite controller keyboard or use the MicroFreak sequencer, for example, to control another synthesizer. Also, working side by side with the modulation matrix, modulators can be assigned to each other, which allows you to really experiment. This is unheard of for a synthesizer in this price segment.
