Arturia BeatStep Pro
This sequencer is a real workhorse: it's a high-end controller and dynamics-sensitive sequencer with incredible power and the ability to interact with other devices. Both on stage and in the studio, BeatStep Pro demonstrates that it is made for creativity. It doesn't matter what you're working with: MIDI, USB, CV or DIN sync, BeatStep Pro doesn't limit your control over the music creation process.

BeatStep Pro does not generate sound itself, but gives the user full control over various external sound sources. It is designed to interact with both stand-alone devices and computer-based systems. USB and MIDI inputs and outputs, to which signals can be assigned, allow you to control and synchronize the operation of a variety of equipment in a 2-way manner.
Each of the melody sequencers has three 1/8" jacks: two CV outputs (height and intensity) and a gate output. These jacks are used to connect analog equipment such as MiniBrute, modular systems or vintage synthesizers, and synchronize them with modern MIDI-capable devices.The user can connect their external drum machine to the BeatStep Pro via MIDI or the eight gate connectors.There are tempo inputs and outputs for accurate synchronization.

BeatStep Pro is designed to be as simple and easy to use as possible. Each of the sequencers has its own color, which makes it easier to connect external equipment. This color is used when the buttons are illuminated, helping to instantly identify which sequencer is currently active.
BeatStep Pro has no complex menus, buttons with multiple functions or complex settings. Each of the sequencers has its own display, which displays all relevant information and a set of control buttons.
This tool is built with quality in mind. It will withstand even the most expressive and harsh use of pads and controls to which it will be subjected on stage and in the studio.

Beatstep Pro will fit perfectly into any studio or project, because the device can be used as a MIDI controller. Use any knob, pad or button for this, programming them at your own discretion. To configure the commands of the controls, you need the MIDI Control Center application, which is supplied in the kit. Drum and melody sequencers work perfectly with any digital workstation, bringing a new dimension to the process of creating music.

BeatStep Pro does a great job of performing live. After all, it is designed in such a way to manage a set of tools in real time. The device allows you to use pre-programmed patterns or record them in real time, as well as create rhythmic fragments, introducing an element of unpredictability into them thanks to the randomizer (random settings generator). All this can be used in a few touches with the tips of the fingers.
Sequences, or even entire projects, can be changed in real-time, and thanks to MIDI, analog inputs and tempo sync outputs, the entire set will work cleanly and harmoniously. All this is collected in one compact and well-thought-out device, designed to become the brain center of your entire set of equipment.
BeatStep Pro can be used as three different devices
Melody sequencer
BeatStep Pro contains two melodic step sequencers. Using pads or an external keyboard, you can record melodies in real time, controlling the pitch, duration and dynamics of each note. The sequencer will automatically divide the melody into notes and place them on a metro-rhythmic grid. It is possible to create melodies using a step-by-step algorithm. Sequences can have up to 64 steps, and each project can store 32 sequences. In total, up to 16 projects can be stored in the device's memory.
Drum sequencer
In addition to two monophonic melody sequencers, BeatStep Pro also features a 16-track drum sequencer. The sequence can be recorded in real time by playing the pads or using the classic step-by-step drum machine method. The rotary knobs can be used to change the duration and dynamics of each note, as well as to shift relative to size, thus creating unusual types of groove.
MIDI controller
BeatStep Pro features touch-sensitive rotary controls. By touching any of them, you can see the value of the selected parameter. Combined with 16 pads, this gives you the ability to create any desired configuration and control VST instruments.
