For more than five decades, the Mobile Fidelity Sound Lab in California has been creating some of the world's best-sounding records—the legendary Original Master Recordings that audiophiles have been hunting for for years. At some point, the studio's engineers asked themselves a logical question: what if we could implement this same approach to sound not only in the recording, but also in the technology for playing it? Thus was born the MoFi Electronics brand.
The development of MoFi turntables and tonearms was carried out by Allen Perkins, one of the most respected designers of analog equipment in the world, the founder of the iconic Spiral Groove brand. His engineering style—maximum silence of the mechanism, isolated motors and thoughtful control of vibrations—became the foundation for the entire line, from the initial StudioDeck to the flagship UltraDeck.
Today, MoFi is not just about vinyl players. The brand produces its own MC cartridges (UltraGold series), phono preamps and even SourcePoint series speakers, designed according to the same principles of accuracy and transparency of sound that made the original studio famous. The products are manufactured in the USA, at its own production facility in Michigan - a rarity in the modern Hi-Fi industry.
MoFi is the choice of those who want to hear music exactly as the artist intended it in the studio, without unnecessary embellishments and sound coloring.
