StudioDAC is based on the ESS9038Q2M chip, capable of processing PCM up to 32-bit/384 kHz and DSD128. The device supports full MQA decoding and rendering, as well as the DXD format - so no matter what hi-res format your music library uses, StudioDAC will reproduce it correctly, without losing detail.
A precise low-noise clock generator minimizes jitter - a parasitic digital signal vibration that often "blurs" the stereo scene and detail in cheaper DACs. The proprietary Apodizing filter additionally smoothes sharp drops at high frequencies and suppresses pre-ringing artifacts, forming a more natural, less "digital" sound that more accurately reflects the original analog signal.
StudioDAC offers three digital inputs — USB 2.0, coaxial S/PDIF and optical Toslink — so you can connect it to almost any source: a computer, streamer or TV. LED indicators on the top panel immediately show the format and bit rate of the input signal, confirming impeccable bit reproduction without any doubts about the quality of the stream.
Unlike many competitors in its price segment, StudioDAC is equipped with a remote external power supply — a solution that physically separates the source of electrical interference from the sensitive analog and digital cascades inside the case. This not only reduces noise levels now, but also leaves room for a future power supply upgrade.
StudioDAC was designed by Yurevych, but finally "voiced" by engineers at MoFi Electronics itself — a long process of listening and fine-tuning, which gave the converter the proprietary, open and transparent character inherent in the brand's products. Manufactured entirely in the USA.
