Description
Is it possible to produce a compact hybrid amplifier that is inexpensive but has the quality of the Vincent brand? Many people asked this question, and many asked us to put it into practice. The company's engineers thought about it and answered. They developed a “people's” amplifier - Vincent SV-500.
Product information
The new hybrid mini amplifier is based on the successful SV-227 integrated amplifier.
The SV-500 is similar to its big brother not only in appearance but also in circuitry. The only important change is that the set of tubes used has changed.
The audio signal at the input passes through pre-amplification stages with two 6H1 tubes and one 12AX7 tube, and the power amplification is assigned to four output transistors manufactured by Toshiba.
The power supply of the new model has a different power transformer - a toroidal transformer with a capacity of 110 W. Two 20,000 µF capacitors are used in the smoothing filter. SV-500 is equipped with four analog inputs (RCA connectors) and two digital inputs (RCA and optical). There is also an adjustable preamplifier output (for example, for connecting a subwoofer) and a recording output. The cool appearance is successfully complemented by a stylish remote control with an aluminum case.
The “small” amplifier will give a head start to others in terms of sound quality - regardless of size. The SV-500's tube preamplifiers are responsible for the warmth and naturalness of the sound. The transistor output adds power and scale, and thanks to the energy-intensive power supply, the sound is not limited in dynamics.
