Description
The Q 3050i incorporates a number of unique technologies, including HPE™ and P2P™, to deliver a truly exceptional sound experience.
Product information
HPE™ (Helmholtz Pressure Equalizer) technology, designed to convert pressure to velocity and reduce the overall pressure gradient in the cabinet, has been applied to the Q 3050i to reduce cabinet resonance. This technology is ideal for tall speakers that tend to resonate at one favorite frequency.
The Q Acoustics P2P™ stiffeners in the 3000i series support those parts of the cabinet that need stiffening, making the cabinets extremely robust, improving sound focus and giving the soundstage more precision than in previous series.
The Q 3050i's tweeters are separated from the baffle by a specially designed suspension system. Vibrations from the woofer, which can degrade the sound quality of the tweeter, are isolated, allowing the tweeter to operate with dramatically reduced interference.
Whichever 3000i model you choose, the cone is precisely formed from impregnated and coated paper and combined with a newly developed low-hysteresis rubber cone. The coated paper cone provides an optimal balance between stiffness and self-damping, meaning it can accelerate without flexing and stop very precisely without unwanted resonances.
