The LX MKII features Mission's trademark "Inverted Driver Geometry" design, meaning an optimized path length between the drivers. Unique in this price category, this layout allows a finely tuned crossover to improve transients and impressive detail.
Refined over hundreds of hours of critical listening by Mission's lead acoustic designer, Peter Comeau, the Mission LX MKII uses innovative technology from the venerable ZX series. Improvements to the renowned Mission DiaDrive bass unit provide excellent control over the low-frequency diaphragm, while improved high-frequency performance and a redesigned cabinet mounting system further help create a loudspeaker system that surpasses its price class.

One of the important areas highlighted during the development of the Mission ZX and QX models was the use of serrations in the driver circumference to help disperse interfering reflections from localized surfaces onto the dome and cone.
