Callisto 6 C delivers a full and highly detailed 3D soundstage even in large rooms, adding extra width and depth. Two woofers and a large internal body volume provide truly deep bass characteristics and space-filling sound pressure levels. All this is achieved without the need for additional complex electronics.
With Callisto 6 C completely in-house developed from drivers to amplifier, DALI can optimize each individual component to match each other perfectly. This makes it possible to design woofers with more linear characteristics than would be possible in a similar traditional passive speaker system.
DALI pushes subwoofer design to new performance limits, made possible by a fully controlled signal path. Using this potential, the designers have increased the sound performance to levels that surpass almost any combination of amplifier and loudspeakers in this price niche.
The class D amplifier is based on the patented latest technology with global feedback and self-oscillation selected for the best musical properties. Being able to deliver 250 watts of power for 5 seconds, the Callisto 6 C amplifier has excellent capabilities to provide more than enough sound pressure, even in complex musical passages or loud explosions in movies.
Callisto woofers take advantage of a patented system with a soft magnetic compound (SMC) in the pole tip. The result is an extremely dynamic, well-controlled woofer with significantly reduced distortion from mechanical losses and ultra-low losses.
Callisto 6 C is connected via a wireless interface to the DALI Sound Hub controller through an extremely stable digital connection - in the 2.4 GHz or 5.8 GHz bands, depending on the location and the quality of the connection. The synchronization delay between video and audio from a movie or TV program is within acceptable limits for comfortable viewing (below 25 ms).
When connected to a DALI Sound Hub, you can control the volume level of the speaker system from the front panel of each speaker. The LED panel on the front of the speaker flashes and indicates the volume level each time the volume is changed. When the speaker is muted, the external LEDs on both ends of the panel flash to indicate this mode.
