Product information
Leak Stereo 130. The British company Leak introduced a new integrated amplifier Stereo 130. What is noteworthy about this news is that this product became Leak's first premiere in four decades. Investments from the IAG Group helped the British wake up after such a long hibernation. The company's new concept is to create components with vintage design and advanced features that can satisfy the needs of the modern audio enthusiast.
The design of the new product is inspired by the classic Leak Stereo 30 model, whose history begins in 1963. The Progenitor at one time became the first serial transistor amplifier without transformers at the output. In accordance with modern trends, the new product is equipped with a built-in DAC unit based on the audiophile ES9018K2M Sabre32 Reference chip from ESS Technology, capable of processing PCM digital streams with a resolution of up to 32 bits / 384 kHz and DSD up to DSD256. There is also a phono stage on board for working with moving magnet (MM) heads. A Bluetooth adapter with support for aptX technology will help you stream music directly from mobile gadgets.
The digital switching arsenal of Leak Stereo 130, in addition to the usual coaxial and a pair of optical inputs, includes a USB type B port for connecting a computer. There are also digital outputs - coaxial and optical. Analog switching is represented by a Phono input, two line inputs and a pre-amplifier output, allowing the new product to be used with external amplification or active speakers.
The output stages of Leak Stereo 130 are made of complementary pairs of transistors operating in class AB and developing up to 45 Watts when operating at a load of 8 Ohms and up to 65 Watts when operating at a load of 4 Ohms. On the aluminum front panel, in addition to large volume control knobs and an input selector, there are three tone block control knobs and a Direct key, which turns off this tone block. There is also a headphone output.
The Leak Stereo 130 integrated amplifier is offered in two versions - in an aluminum case and with additional decorative panels made of natural walnut
