Description
Immerse yourself in audio excellence with the Leak Sandwich 150, a modern masterpiece based on a wealth of experience in the world of audio innovation.
With a heritage stretching back to 1934, Leak has always been at the forefront of high-quality sound, revolutionizing the way music is perceived. The Sandwich 150 is a testament to this enduring heritage, embodying the pinnacle of technological advancement while honoring the traditions of its glorious past.
The Sandwich 150 is a compact, attractive and affordable 2-way phase-inverter speaker system that combines a coated 30mm textile dome tweeter with a 170mm sandwich cone mid-woofer.
The next-generation cone is responsible for the reproduction of low and medium frequencies, consisting of an extremely rigid aluminum coating on the outer surfaces and a very thick core, carefully presented anew and reimagined using lessons learned during more than six decades of research and development in electroacoustics. , made from polymethacrylate (PMI)-based structural foam, often used in the aerospace and automotive industries.
The tweeter was also the subject of an extensive reconstruction process, including a rear chamber with internal damping to absorb the rear wave of the transducer. This innovation not only isolates the tweeter from the rest of the set, but has the added benefit of lowering its resonant frequency, which in turn increases the level of integration of different areas of the audio spectrum, improving harmonic recovery and therefore analysis capability.
