Product information
The junior model Focal Aria 926 is the most affordable audiophile-grade floor-standing speaker in the Aria line and, like its older brothers, also has a three-way design. The speaker copes well with both stereo music playback and movie effects.
The Focal Aria 926 uses a 25 mm TNF tweeter with a concave aluminum-magnesium dome membrane. The tweeter suspension is made of Poron material, which has shape memory, has good damping properties and can reduce nonlinear distortions in the band from 2000 to 3000 Hz. Features of concave domes include excellent spatial characteristics and an expanded radiation pattern. Thanks to such a membrane, it is possible to get rid of strict binding to a specific listening point in the room. The tweeter has an oval-shaped waveguide flange, which improves directivity in the horizontal plane.
The speaker is equipped with a 165 mm mid-range driver and two low-frequency drivers of the same caliber. All three drivers have the same multi-layer cone design: a layer of flax fibers is sandwiched between ultra-thin layers of fiberglass. This technology provides low weight, excellent flexural rigidity, excellent internal damping and high response speed. All this ultimately results in a seamless, natural, dynamic and rich sound with negligible coloration and well-developed tight bass.
The floor-standing speaker has a reliably damped body, made in a classic design and using MDF boards up to 25 mm thick as the material. Thanks to non-parallel side panels, it is possible to eliminate internal standing waves and eliminate parasitic resonances. The front and rear of the speaker are leather-trimmed, and the top panel is covered with glass. The bass reflex port built into the front panel allows you to make the bass more impactful and faster. Another bass reflex is integrated into the bottom of the body, which, according to the developers, helps to obtain deeper bass frequencies. Both ports support Power Flow technology, which eliminates dynamic compression. The speaker base is cast aluminum and features adjustable spikes that can be removed if necessary. The cable is connected using two screw terminals, and the speakers are protected by a fabric grill with magnetic fastening.
It is advisable to install the younger model Focal Aria 926 in rooms with an area of more than 20 square meters. m, while the recommended distance from the speaker to the listener should be about three meters. The speaker is available in a variety of finishes, including piano black.
