Description
Focal Theva #3 is equipped with a 165 mm mid-range driver and two woofers of similar caliber. All these dynamics are combined by Slatefiber technology, which involves the use of a special diffuser with a composite structure (sandwich). The central layer of such a membrane is contained between two layers of thermoplastic polymer and is essentially non-woven recycled carbon fiber. At the same time, the fibers themselves are "laid" in one direction, which is done specifically to improve damping properties and increase stiffness. The result is the necessary stiffness, lightness and excellent internal damping, which is expressed in a precise, dynamic and well-balanced sound with powerful articulated bass. An oval grill with a magnetic attachment helps to protect the midrange and woofers.

High frequencies are taken care of by the TNF tweeter with an inverted dome membrane made of a light aluminum-magnesium alloy. Such a dome provides a wide directional pattern and excellent spatial characteristics. Poron material is used in its suspension, which has a shape memory effect and minimizes distortion in the band from two to three kilohertz. The tweeter is protected by a non-removable metal mesh and is located in a shallow waveguide.
The Focal Theva #3's acoustically inert cabinet has a phase inverter port brought out to the rear panel, making it easy to install the speaker indoors. The port received a special design with excellent aerodynamic properties, which allows you to eliminate the turbulence of the outgoing air and minimize distortion. The flagship is equipped with a base with spikes that has a slight slope. According to the manufacturer's information, this tilt allows you to solve problems related to the temporal coherence of the speakers and build the correct sound stage, precisely oriented to the listener. There are two screw terminals on the rear panel of the Focal Theva #3 to connect the speaker cable. The flagship is designed for use in large rooms and is available in three finishes, including glossy black, which allows it to blend harmoniously with any interior.
