Description
The new 100 Series introduces many evolutionary improvements aimed at enhancing the listening experience. All models (except for the AE1082 subwoofer) feature a WDT (Wide Dispersion Tweeter) waveguide for improved dispersion, which is now based on our 500 Series, where the woofer is positioned closer to the tweeter. The drivers are all new and designed in tandem to provide seamless integration as well as improved response and manageable power. Slotted ports in the rear of each enclosure reduce distortion with a new vent that provides smoother airflow. Finally, for the first time in this price category, the 100 Series utilizes HDF (High Density Fiberboard) construction, which allows the cabinet walls to be thinner without sacrificing weight or rigidity - resulting in increased internal volume, which delivers deeper bass with minimal increase in external dimensions.

The AE1092 is designed to easily fill a room with a thin coverage loudspeaker, much like the world-famous original AE109 of 20 years ago. This is achieved by using two 130mm paper drivers utilizing a heavy-duty motor system and a 25mm soft-dome tweeter. The 2.5-band crossover has a unique topology that provides integration and power handling previously unattainable for this type of speaker. Particular attention was paid to phase and time alignment for the most seamless performance.
As with the AE1002 floor-standing speaker, the driver and crossover are housed in a solid 15 mm HDF cabinet with a style reminiscent of the award-winning 500 Series. The result is an audio product with clean and uncluttered lines that can deliver the immersive and powerful presentation that Acoustic Energy owners expect. Available in black and walnut veneer finishes.
