Moerch is a Danish tonearm manufacturer founded by Hans Henrik Mørch, who has been designing and assembling tonearms since the early 1980s. Before starting out with tonearms, Moerch was already well-known in hi-fi circles for its production of vinyl turntables in the 1960s and 1970s - this experience in tonearm-deck interaction laid the foundation for further developments.

The line consists of three models - the uni-pivot UP-4, the dual-bearing DP-6 and the flagship DP-8. All of them are built on a patented concept with interchangeable arm tubes: the same base can be equipped with tubes of different effective masses, selecting the perfect pair for a specific cartridge.

A special achievement of the brand is the anisotropic principle applied in the DP-8 model: the tonearm is damped differently in the horizontal and vertical planes, which gives a more accurate transmission of bass frequencies without losing tracking sensitivity. This development received the Golden Ear Award from The Absolute Sound.

Each Moerch tonearm is assembled by hand in Denmark - in small batches, with attention to every detail, which makes the brand a model of the audiophile approach to analog sound engineering.
