The use of a passik made of special rubber with a patented technology provided excellent disc resolution, and its rotation became even more stable and accurate, completely free from vibrations. In addition, the player is equipped with a new tonearm RB3000, with a lightweight and very precisely working force compensation mechanism that jumps.

In the Rega Planar 10 player, for the first time in the history of this company, the upper plate is made of ceramic, and the lower plate is made of phenolic resin, due to which it was possible to obtain exceptional rigidity of the entire structure, as well as the best mechanical separation between the support disk and the tonearm. At the same time, the chassis itself is made of polyurethane Tancast 8, used in the aerospace industry, and has a very low weight. The player is equipped with a new branded electronic stabilizer of the disk rotation speed based on DSP, made in a metal case.
When developing the Rega Planar 10 player, the experience gained during the creation of the famous Naiad model of this company was used. At the same time, instead of improving the already existing and very successful RP10 player, it was decided to make a completely new player of an even higher class. This is how the Rega Planar 10 was born, incorporating all the best of the Naiad model, but with a more affordable price. At the same time, the new player uses high-tech materials, and its entire design was designed in such a way as to reduce the total weight while simultaneously increasing rigidity and resistance to resonances.
