The Pro-Ject X1 is the base model in its series and has all the features of the company's classic turntables. Pro-Ject X1 is built using selected materials and proven design solutions, but at the same time using new, collaborative technologies. Like the rest of the Pro-Ject models, the X1 turntable is manufactured in the company's own factory in Europe.

The turntable's chassis is made of new MDF with improved anti-resonance characteristics. The external coating on the chassis is applied in eight layers, with hand polishing. This model is also available in natural wood veneer. The Pro-Ject X1 has aluminum anti-vibration adjustable feet.

The turntable is equipped with a 1.5 kg acrylic platter, which ensures stable rotation of the record. Due to the excellent damping characteristics of acrylic, the support does not require an additional mat. The Pro-Ject X1 uses a subdial drive design, keeping the belt and motor hidden inside the case. The turntable support bearing is made of precision steel and bronze, with Teflon gaskets to reduce noise.

The Pro-Ject X1 uses a patented crystal oscillator circuit to stabilize the disk rotation speed. Switching the disc rotation speed (33 or 45 rpm) in this model is electronic, which will certainly appeal to the owners of music collections, consisting of both LPs and singles. The engine is meticulously mechanically isolated from the chassis to minimize unwanted vibrations.

The Pro-Ject X1 features a high-end 8.6" carbon and aluminum tonearm with an integrated shell. The tonearm has a precision gimbal bearing and is damped with TPE thermoplastic elastomer. A pair of gold-plated terminals is used to connect to the phono stage of the player. The Pro-Ject X1 comes with a high quality phono cable and a dust cover.
