Description
The Audio-Technica AT-LP60XUSB is a modified player that allows you not only to listen to, but also to digitize vinyl records in 16-bit/44.1 or 48 kHz resolution. To do this, there is an analog-to-digital converter on board and a USB port for direct connection to a PC or Mac, and you need to install Audacity, Adobe Audition, VinylStudio or other similar software on your computer to organize the process of converting vinyl disc tracks into a digital audio file. Otherwise, it is a fully automatic entry-level machine with a belt drive and a DC motor, in which the choice between disc speeds of 33.3 or 45 rpm is carried out using a button.
The main differences between the Audio-Technica AT-LP60XUSB and the previous version without the “X” index are the use of an improved tonearm base and a new shell design, which now has a miniature handle for manually installing the cartridge needle on the disk. Thanks to this upgrade, it was possible to minimize the influence of unwanted resonances and improve the ability of the cartridge to track the track. The player also received a separate external power supply, made in the form of an adapter, which the previous model did not have. As a result, it was possible to get rid of the influence of electrical network interference on the sensitive audio signal.
The turntable uses an MM-cartridge with a Dual Magnet system integrated into the shell, i.e. The pickup head cannot be removed. However, this type of cartridge has a removable stylus, i. when worn, it can be easily and quickly replaced. The turntable is equipped with a built-in switchable phono stage, making it possible to connect directly to an amplifier, AV receiver or active speakers via line input. When using the player in conjunction with a separate external corrector, you must turn off its built-in preamplifier - move the “slider” located on the rear panel of the case to the “PHONO” mark. The Audio-Technica AT-LP60XUSB has a 3.5 mm output for the bundled interconnect cable (mini jack - 2RCA). The previous version used a fixed cable, which created problems with its replacement.
The Audio-Technica AT-LP60XUSB has received a modern case design that looks more austere and has a new dust cover. The turntable's die-cast aluminum platter resists all sorts of resonances, and the felt mat on its surface prevents the vinyl record from slipping. In addition to cables and an external power supply, the set includes an adapter for "forty-five" records.
