The Audio-Technica AT-LPW30TK is equipped with a professional grade die-cast aluminum platter which is fitted with a damping rubber mat. The turntable's platter is mounted on a precision-made steel bearing and driven by a low-noise motor through a belt. In this way, unwanted vibrations are not transmitted to the record, and the motor itself is also damped from the chassis. The design of this model provides a discreet location of the motor and belt under the platter, which gives the turntable a neat and concise appearance. Switching the speed of rotation here is electronic, which is very convenient.
The Audio-Technica AT-LPW30TK turntable features a straight, statically balanced tonearm with an aluminum tube and AT-HS4 proprietary detachable shell. The AT-VM95C MM pickup is standardly installed on the latter, however, if desired, it can be replaced with any other suitable cartridge. The player's tonearm has downforce and anti-skating adjustments, which makes it easy to adjust it for various cartridges. A damped micro-elevator is provided for smooth lowering of the needle onto the sound track of the record.
This model also has a high-quality built-in phono stage, thanks to which the Audio-Technica AT-LPW30TK can be connected to any line input of an AV receiver or stereo amplifier. However, the player has the ability to turn off the built-in phono stage to take the output signal directly from the pickup. The Audio-Technica AT-LPW30TK is powered by an external constant voltage adapter, eliminating the risk of interference with the player's sensitive circuitry. The player comes with a protective cover, a connecting phono cable, and a complete set of necessary accessories.
