Product information
The Pro-Ject Debut PRO turntable represents a new stage in the development of this model, the first release of which took place more than 30 years ago. The device has retained its recognizable laconic design and overall design concept, but received several new features. In particular, the player's tonearm now has the ability to adjust the VTA angle and azimuth to accommodate various cartridges. The Pro-Jet Debut PRO also uses dampened, height-adjustable aluminum mounts.
The chassis of the Pro-Ject Debut PRO player is made of MDF, which is traditional for most of the company's models. However, in this case, he received an 8-layer coating, which is applied by hand. Another innovation in the design of the device is the nickel coating of the bearing and tonearm counterweight. The tonearm itself on the Pro-Ject Debut PRO is branded, made of carbon fiber (outer layer) and aluminum (inner tube). The shell on the tonearm is made integrated, with standard holes for mounting the pickup.
As standard, the player is equipped with an excellent Pick It PRO MM cartridge, produced by Pro-Ject together with Ortofon specifically for this model. However, the Pro-Ject Debut PRO's considerable tonearm adjustment flexibility allows it to be fitted with a variety of pickups, including MCs. The latter circumstance became possible due to the equipment of the player with an aluminum platter. This is also an innovation for the models in this series. The disc is damped with TPE to dampen unwanted vibrations.
The Pro-Ject Debut PRO is belt driven via a subdial by a low noise AC motor mechanically decoupled from the chassis. To ensure a stable speed of rotation of the record, the player uses a proprietary circuit based on a precision generator. The Pro-Ject Debut PRO model has an electronic speed change of 33.1/3 or 45 rpm using a toggle switch (also nickel-plated). The turntable comes with a Connect It E branded Phono cable and a dust cover.
