With a call to “rediscover your vinyl”, the Italian audio brand Gold Note has introduced two updated MC cartridges - Machiavelli Gold and Machiavelli Red, which have been given the mkII index. The design of these models has been improved to achieve excellent audio performance. SmCo (samarium-cobalt alloy) magnetic systems are installed in aluminum alloy cases.
The difference between the two models of Machiavelli mkII cartridges, Gold and Red, is that the former is equipped with a high-precision Line Contact diamond mounted in an ultra-hard boron cantilever, while the latter is equipped with a micro-elliptical diamond on an aluminum needle holder.
According to the brand, both Gold Note Machiavelli mkII cartridges have been redesigned and equipped with new ultra-lightweight coils to provide high output levels, expanded bandwidth, more precise detail, and better power control. Thanks to this, Machiavelli mkII cartridges, according to the manufacturers, outperform previous models while retaining all their basic characteristics.
