Rubicon 6 White High Gloss

The DALI Rubicon 6 floor-standing speaker systems have one less woofer than the top-end speakers in this series, and are the same amount superior to the junior floor-standing model Rubicon 5. The speakers have an unusual configuration - the two traditional frequency bands in them are expanded in the low-frequency and high-frequency regions by another half. The speaker systems are equipped with a pair of 165 mm woofers with wood-paper diffusers with powerful magnets, which are mounted on non-resonating die-cast aluminum baskets. The diffusers have wide rubber suspensions, which allow them to move with a large amplitude and effectively dampen parasitic resonances. The lower woofer is activated starting at a frequency of 800 Hz, which provides the necessary expansion of the range of reproduced bass without narrowing the dynamic range. The low-frequency drivers are mounted in an acoustically insulated internal chamber (the wall of which also acts as an additional screed, increasing the rigidity of the body) and are loaded onto a bass reflex, the output holes of which are located on the rear panel. The bass reflex ports are located exactly opposite the bass drivers to reduce the turbulence of the outgoing air flow.

The combined HF unit in this speaker is the same as in the other models in the series (with the exception of the Rubicon 2 bookshelf). It consists of a tweeter with a soft fabric dome with a diameter of 29 mm and a ribbon emitter. Both tweeters are mounted on a common metal plate, isolating them from the influence of bass drivers. The ribbon driver starts working at a frequency of 14,000 Hz, expanding the frequency response of the speaker system to 34,000 Hz. In addition, thanks to the additional tweeter, the directional pattern of the speakers is significantly leveled, and the sound quality will depend less on the parameters of the listening room.

The speakers are connected to a crossover filter. made of selected components, and two pairs of screw terminals are provided for connection to the amplifier. The exterior finish of the DALI Rubicon 6 can be made of black or white piano lacquer, or two types of natural wood.
