EPICON 6 is based on the new DALI speaker technology. Two 6.5” woofers, a unique linear magnetic system and a hybrid tweeter module (soft-bass + ribbon tweeters) allow to achieve sound that is unrealistic with traditional acoustic solutions.
EPICON 6 is a 2.5 way system; compared to EPICON 2, these speakers use an additional woofer below 600 Hz. For the highest frequencies, a ribbon tweeter is used as part of the hybrid module, which turns the speakers into a 2.5 + 0.5 band design.
Linear magnetic system
The innovative SMC-based linear magnetic system eliminates the four main causes of distortion in speakers - eddy currents, hysteresis, magnetic flux variations and voice coil inductance variations.
SMC technology
Advanced Soft Magnetic Compound (SMC) eliminates magnetic flux variations in the gap. This solution minimizes distortion compared to conventional speakers.
Hybrid tweeter module
Optimized for the EPICON series. It has an extremely flat and wide horizontal dispersion.
Bass drivers of our own design
A new generation of wood fiber reinforced cones with a new impregnation process and external coating. The drivers for DALI EPICON are not only designed, but also manufactured at the DALI factory in Denmark!
