Product information
The Yamaha A-S701 integrated amplifier has a circuit topology that uses proprietary ToP-ART technology. Thanks to this circuitry and Direct Symmetrical Design, absolute symmetry of the right and left channels is ensured. In this case, the signal transmission from the input to the output of the amplifier is carried out in a direct symmetrical circuit, which ultimately helps to minimize distortion and obtain pure natural sound. The model's body is equipped with a special ART (Anti-Resonance and Tough) Base, which, in conjunction with a central metal tie, provides excellent damping, increases rigidity and minimizes vibrations and resonances.
The Yamaha A-S701 power supply uses 12,000 uF buffer capacitors and a massive custom transformer. Large radiators made of extruded aluminum are used for cooling. The circuits feature carefully selected and tested components, including quality relays, single-point grounding systems, custom capacitors and other high-quality components. The amplifier has a power of 100 watts per channel when driven in conjunction with 8-ohm speakers and can deliver a maximum of 160 watts per channel into 4 ohms.
The loudness compensation function deserves special attention, for smooth adjustment there is a regulator located on the aluminum facade of the case. This function allows you to compensate for losses in the high-frequency and low-frequency bands associated with the natural characteristics of human hearing when listening at low volume levels.
The Yamaha A-S701 amplifier makes it possible to use a switchable CD Direct Amplification mode, which, when connecting a source to the “CD” input, increases the signal-to-noise ratio and provides direct signal transmission, bypassing the input selector, tone control, as well as balance and loudness controls. The result is a clear, natural sound. Pure Direct mode works with all inputs, directing the signal bypassing the buffer amplifier and balance, tone, and loudness controls.
Thanks to the presence of a built-in DAC, as well as coaxial/optical inputs, the Yamaha A-S701 can connect digital sources (TV panel, Blu-ray player, etc.). It supports reception of signals in PCM format up to 24 bit/192 kHz. On board there is a headphone amplifier, an MM phono stage, a set of line inputs, recording outputs and a connector for an active subwoofer. It is possible to connect an external Bluetooth module YBA-11 that supports the aptX codec. Four pairs of gold-plated screw terminals are used to connect the speakers.
