Description
The Prime 21 turntable by American company VPI Industries was announced back in 2020. This new model inherits the successful technologies of the Prime line, but now features a classic gimbal-type tonearm, which is not very typical for the company's models. The top part of the chassis is reinforced with a metal panel, and the motor is located externally.
Product information
Compared to the previous version of the Prime, significant changes have been made to the design. The new versions are equipped with a non-traditional for the company gimbal-type tonearm, a 10.5-inch model printed on a 3D printer from a special epoxy resin compound. The tonearm has a "on-the-fly" vertical tracking angle (VTA) adjustment feature. The chassis has also been upgraded - the top panel has an additional aluminum plate, and the reinforced chassis, with the same plate, is separate from the motor.
The VPI Prime 21+ model is distinguished by the installed VPI Shyla cartridge (manufactured by Audio-Technica under special order), as well as the use of the VPI Weisline tonearm cable. Both turntables are equipped with anti-resonance supports similar to those used in the VPI HW40 Anniversary model.
CARTRIDGE IS NOT INCLUDED IN THE PACKAGE!
