The ND5 XS2 is a versatile player with innovative streaming technologies including UPnP™ high-definition streaming, AirPlay, AirPlay 2, Chromecast, Bluetooth, Spotify Connect, TIDAL, Qobuz, Roon compatibility, internet radio, and multi-room streaming. It also has digital and USB inputs. The player utilizes classic Naim engineering with carefully selected parts, a large toroidal transformer and decoupled circuit boards to deliver natural and immersive sound quality.

This device plays high-quality audio files from a variety of sources and supports a variety of music formats. It has two digital and two optical inputs that provide optimal connectivity to external sources. The front panel has a USB port, Bluetooth connection and the ability to integrate with the RC5 system. It's compatible with Roon, multiroom and Party Mode, and has a Naim Audio app for iOS and Android.
Technology and craftsmanship
The ND5 XS 2 's streaming section uses Naim's latest LVDS-enabled network card to decode all HD audio formats up to 32-bit/384kHz or DSD128.A new streaming card allows the DAC clock to control the audio data stream, and the data is resampled to 40-bit accuracy in the SHARC DSP before being fed to the PCM1791A Burr-Brown DAC.
