In the six years since the release of the last model of NAIT integrated amplifiers, our research and development team has created a number of improvements. The result is the upgraded NAIT XS 3 amplification sections, which provide even more high-quality and realistic sounding of your favorite music in speakers or headphones.
The NAIT XS 3 amplifier has been significantly upgraded to improve performance. With the addition of a built-in phono equalizer, the SUPERNAIT 3 is the perfect partner for vinyl players – as well as streamers, CD players and any other music source you want to enjoy Naim's signature sound.
The Naim Audio NAIT XS 3 has almost all the features of our benchmark NAIT integrated amplifier. In a compact case NAIT XS 3 is a 70 W power amplifier and five analog inputs plus an input for a vinyl record player. The sound of the amplifier is distinguished by Naim's signature transparency. In addition, the NAIT XS 3, like its older brother, is equipped with a class A headphone amplifier. The NAIT 3 can be further upgraded with external power supplies, power amplifiers and cables to get the maximum quality sound.
With our characteristic scrupulous attention to detail - because every little thing is designed to ensure the most realistic sound - we applied the following solutions to the NAIT XS 3. More details: Our R&D team has found a way to more than double the speed of the voltage gain stage, thereby doubling the response speed of the final stage.
The transistors of the second amplifier stage are optimized and no longer require cascode shielding. This means that the amplifier needs less stabilization: the rate of rise of the output voltage has been doubled, which has resulted in a noticeable improvement in sound quality.
The phono stage is built on three stages: an amplification stage, a passive equalization stage and a final amplification stage with active equalization. Such a solution has an excellent signal-to-noise ratio, the possibility of RIAA equalization beyond the audible sound spectrum and an excellent margin of overload.
All capacitors and resistors for RIAA equalization are film components for output mounting, with reduced microphone effect and excellent peak characteristics. Since phono cascades are 1000 times more sensitive than other inputs, this solution allows you to significantly improve the sound quality.
The input impedance is 47k in parallel with a capacitive load of 470pF - ideal for 5mV moving magnet pickups.
