Description
The M8xi is a standalone preamplifier with two monoblock power amplifiers using a common chassis. Each has its own separate radiator and transformer. Truly dual mono. The preamplifier has its own separate power supply and is installed next to the input connectors. Therefore, the tracks on the printed circuit board are very short. This elegant idea provides instant ultra-low impedance signals from both channels of the amplifier. This is an important detail.

Each channel has twelve large bipolar transistors - 200 amps of swing are readily available. The front panel is custom made from Milspec aluminum with fine lines. Made-to-order radiators have excellent heat dissipation characteristics. The body of the M8xi is strong and of high quality.
The new M8xi power amplifier delivers more power, less distortion and better sound quality. Unbelievable, but a fact. The efficiency of the output stage has been increased, and at the same voltage of the power source, approximately 10% more power is produced. Most importantly, the entire speaker cascade is pure Class A. This innovative approach is said to have a significant impact on sound quality. The soundstage seems wider, while the micro- and macro-dynamics have more impact.
The M8xi also features a 5-input DAC. DACs are becoming more common in integrated amplifier designs to add convenience when connecting various digital sources, so the decision was made to create a DAC that would perform at a high level independent of the amplifier. For added integrity, the DAC has its own power supply.
The M8xi delivers 550+550 watts per channel into 8 ohms. It is extremely stable and very linear. Distortion is also low; less than 0.005% in the range of audible frequencies from 20 Hz to 20 kHz. The M8xi has excellent linearity and stability. It is very stable and easily copes with any acoustic systems available, with a sufficient reserve of power.
