MODEL 30 Silver
Description
Carefully designed and custom-tuned integrated stereo amplifier from Marantz for the most musical sound possible.
The Marantz Model 30n integrated amplifier has a new design with a shaped aluminum front panel, on which all controls are located symmetrically about the vertical axis, the side elements of the panel are decorated with a guilloche-like pattern, and there is also backlighting at the edges. In addition to the usual input selector and volume control, there are also tone controls for low, mid and high frequencies, as well as buttons for selecting operating modes. Among them is a selector for two pairs of connected speakers and modes of “direct” audio signal supply, bypassing auxiliary circuits, as well as turning on the power amplifier input. The amplifier is made on a three-layer chassis, eliminating the impact of any external vibrations on it.
The Marantz Model 30n amplifier has an all-analog, discrete, two-stage design with separate power supplies for the amplifier and preamplifier sections. The preamplifier is powered by a large toroidal transformer, covered with a double steel casing to protect against interference. The amplifier's power circuit is said to be capable of delivering high current immediately, resulting in greater control over any speaker, resulting in improved bass response and clarity in the reproduction of fine detail. The device circuit is built on discrete elements and is covered by current feedback, which made it possible to obtain a linear operating characteristic, a wide dynamic range and reduce noise and distortion to a minimum.
In addition, this circuit design provides the necessary stability of the amplifier when working with speaker systems with complex impedance characteristics. The amplifier's volume control is built using a new design to achieve the smoothest and most precise adjustment of the signal level without audible noise. The Marantz Model 30n power supply is built around a powerful dual-shielded toroidal transformer to completely eliminate interference on sensitive audio circuits. There are no coupling capacitors in the circuit, which also has a positive effect on the level of distortion. The rear panel of the Marantz Model 30 amplifier contains gold-plated RCA jacks for six signal sources, regulated and unregulated outputs, and a direct input for feeding a signal to the terminal. There are also two pairs of proprietary terminals for connecting speakers and a D-Bus system bus connector.
The amplifier also has a built-in MM and MC phono stage based on Marantz Musical Premium Phono EQ and HDAM technologies, located in its own metal casing. Thanks to the built-in amplifier, it is ready to work even with MC heads with low output. There are several load options available: MC Low (33 Ohms), MC Mid (100 Ohms) and MC High (390 Ohms). The Marantz Model 30n amplifier has a signature signature sound with smooth mids, focused and deep bass, and beautiful, airy highs.
