he Marantz MM8077 seven-channel power amplifier is designed to achieve the highest quality reproduction of music and movie soundtracks. To create it, the designers and engineers pulled no punches, using all the cutting-edge technology and design elements that make the Reference line a coveted component in the audiophile world.
The front panel is made of anodized aluminum in silk black with a traditional blue porthole. The copper-plated chassis and multi-layer cover provide reliable protection against external interference.
The flagship's hardware is also not ordinary - a massive toroidal transformer and filter capacitors with a total capacity of 100,000 uF. As is typical for devices of this class, it uses current feedback technology in high-power stages, providing the high slew rate and wide bandwidth required for modern high-resolution audio formats. All output stages have the same topology - for identical quality of all channels.
The extruded aluminum alloy heatsink has a tunnel-shaped design with automatic active cooling function using a built-in silent fan, which improves the air flow that cools the amplifier components.
Switching is carried out by balanced XLR and analog RCA inputs for each of the seven channels, which provides maximum flexibility in system configuration.
