Product information
The flagship floor-standing speaker Klipsch RP-8000F from the updated Reference Premiere line is perfect for cinema installations and will perform excellently in a stereo system. The model is capable of providing high-quality sound even to large rooms.
To reproduce high frequencies, a proprietary inch compression tweeter is used, equipped with a lightweight, rigid titanium membrane. The membrane is protected by a precisely calculated phase equalizer using computer software, which also functions as a mechanical filter and allows optimization of the frequency response. The tweeter is housed in a special hybrid Tractrix horn, which combines a conical funnel and a conventional horn with sides that curve to match the geometric curve of the Tractrix. The front of the Tractrix is made from injection-molded silicone to help eliminate resonances. This design of the HF emitter allows you to direct sound waves precisely at the listener and reduce the number of their reflections from the walls of the room. The result is a cleaner, more detailed and more natural presentation of high frequencies. Among other things, the tweeter uses an efficient magnetic system and proprietary Linear Travel Suspension (LTS) technology, which guarantees precise piston movement of the diaphragm, and its ventilated housing helps eliminate standing waves that can form behind the membrane.
To transmit midrange and bass frequencies, the Klipsch RP-8000F uses a pair of large 8-inch drivers, which have rigid diffusers made of Cerametallic with a copper coating. The drivers are equipped with massive magnetic systems, double-layer coils wound with copper wire and steel anti-resonance baskets. The midrange/bass speakers are harmoniously combined with the horn-mounted high-frequency driver, resulting in a seamless musical image.
The geometry of the bass reflex bell located at the rear of the speaker corresponds to the Tractrix horn. This technical solution allows you to reduce turbulent noise, increase the speed of air flow and get rid of distortion in the bass band.
The body of the flagship Klipsch RP-8000F is made of MDF and has good damping. Its base sits on a slightly backward sloping platform with cast aluminum legs. Two-wire connection is available thanks to the presence of two pairs of screw terminals. The speaker is available in several types of finishes using vinyl film or piano varnish.
