The model uses an inch TNF tweeter, equipped with an inverted (concave) dome made of aluminum-magnesium alloy, as well as a suspension made of special Poron damping material with a shape memory effect, which helps reduce nonlinear distortions in the lower limits of the high-frequency ranges. The concave dome has excellent spatial characteristics and provides a wide directional pattern. The HF emitter is equipped with an oval-shaped waveguide flange, which allows for improved directivity in the horizontal plane.
The Focal Aria 936 model received a 165 mm mid-range speaker and a trio of woofer drivers of the same diameter. All these emitters use diffusers, which include a layer of flax fibers, framed by two ultra-thin reinforcing layers of fiberglass. Such a sandwich diffuser can boast of low weight, excellent internal damping, excellent bending stiffness and quick response to the appearance of a signal. As a result, it is possible to get a natural, saturated, integral and dynamic sound with tight fast bass and minimal coloration.
The acoustically inert housing of the speaker is made of MDF boards, the thickness of which in some places reaches 25 mm. The non-parallel sidewalls of the case contribute to the elimination of internal standing waves and minimize unwanted resonances. The front and back panels of the model are decorated with leather, and the top is made of glass. At the bottom of the front is a pair of phase-inverting ports with Power Flow technology, which allows you to eliminate dynamic compression. Another port is placed on the bottom of the case. According to the developers, this design allows for fast, dense and at the same time deep bass. The base of the Focal Aria 936 is made of die-cast aluminum and features adjustable spike mounts. The three-dimensional grill is made of acoustically transparent fabric and is attached to the facade using a magnetic system. There is one pair of screw terminals for connecting the cable.
The Focal Aria 936 speaker is designed for use in rooms from 25 square meters. m. The recommended distance from the speaker to the listener is 3-3.5 m or more.
