The Dual CS 418 is attractive not only because it has an excellent value for money, but also because it offers an excellent and convincing balanced sound. The table is made of solid MDF with a black vinyl coating. The set also comes with a dust cover.
The support disk is made of die-cast aluminum. The set includes a heavy rubber slipmat to dampen resonant vibrations. The tonearm is straight, statically balanced. It has a solid aluminum construction with ball bearings and a damped tonearm lift. There is an adjustable pressure force and anti-skating.
The drive in the CS 418 is belt-driven, with a low-vibration DC servo motor. The belt is made with a precision cutout to reduce vibrations. There are rubber supports for vibration isolation.
