This high-tech tonearm is capable of driving high-end pickups with a high degree of precision and reliability. The Dual CS 518 is completely ready to work "out of the box": an Ortofon 2M Red pickup and a MM-type switchable phono stage are included.
The main focus was on aspects that should ensure many years of enjoyment from using this player. For example, a hardened steel axle for a bearing plate that sits in a very precisely machined brass bushing. Or a DC vibration dampening motor that provides very smooth operation. This motor drives the disk, which is made of cast aluminum. The set includes a heavy rubber slipmat, which additionally reduces extraneous vibrations.
