DS Audio ION-01 ionizer generates positive and negative ions to neutralize and remove static charge from vinyl records
Vinyl records have a surface charge of static electricity generated by friction. Two common sources of friction are the stylus resistance encountered during record playback and the removal of the record from the cover and envelope. By emitting positive and negative ions in a controlled manner from two outputs, the ION-001 ionizer effectively neutralizes and removes static electricity from the record surface. Our unique “fanless” design ensures quiet operation for continuous use during record playback. In addition, the ION-001 removes the charge from CDs. Note: The degree of electrostatic charge may vary depending on factors such as the shape of the stylus tip, vinyl record material, temperature, humidity, etc.
Powerful ionizer with low ozone emissions
The ION-001 is a powerful device equipped with 4 ionizers, 2 for positive and negative ions. It uses a specialized power controller that suppresses the production of excessive ozone, preventing unwanted oxidation.
Designed for quick installation
The tower-like architectural design allows the ION-001 to be placed next to the turntable for quick installation, allowing for easy vinyl record changes. The tower design is effective with a wide range of turntables with a total platter height of up to 18 cm (approx. 7.09 inches)." For turntables that exceed this height, use the base/stand to position the ION-001 properly.
