DL-110
Description
The Denon DL-110 cartridge has been developed to enable more people to enjoy the exquisite sound quality of moving coil (MC) cartridges. Developed using Denon's renowned MC cartridge technology, the Denon DL-110 is a moving coil cartridge capable of producing a high output level of 1.6 mV, equivalent to that of a moving magnet (MM) cartridge.
This way, the Denon DL-110 can be directly connected to the MM input of your amplifier or receiver without the need for a step-up transformer, preamplifier or pre-amplifier.
State-of-the-art technology has been used in all sections of the Denon DL-110 cartridge, such as traditional cross armature, dual cantilever design, and single-point vibration center method using wire suspension. This balances performance with excellent sound quality comparable to more expensive cartridges. With this original vibrating section and double-sided damping, fluctuations in sound quality due to temperature differences are minimized. In addition, the overall weight of the cartridge has been reduced by simplifying the magnetic circuit, thus improving stylus tracking and compensating for record distortion.
The Denon DL-110 cartridge uses a special elliptical stylus with a rectangular cross-section of 0.1x0.2 mm. It penetrates deep into the record groove to extract details, bypassing the groove wall.
Proper setup is very important for the Denon DL-110, as it is for all parts of a vinyl turntable. Take the time to get it right, and you'll be rewarded with its naturally pleasing tonal balance, ambience, fast transient response, and exquisite articulation. If you're wondering why many audiophiles are so enthusiastic about moving coils, the Denon DL-110 will offer you many positive reasons.
