The flagship pleases the eye with its neat design with high-quality vinyl trim. Two 6.5-inch midrange/bass drivers were developed specifically for this speaker, which ensure minimal loss. The material of their diffusers is lightweight grained paper reinforced with wood fibers, with the help of which it is possible to obtain the required rigidity and a non-uniform outer surface to minimize resonances. This know-how, long practiced by DALI, helps to increase the accuracy and detail of the sound. The drivers also feature a well-ventilated, rigid chassis that reduces vibration.
The model uses one of the best tweeters in its class, “borrowed” from the older lines and equipped with a very light fabric membrane, which, according to DALI, is two times lighter than similar solutions from competitors. Such an emitter is capable of significantly raising the upper limit of the frequency range, which will come in handy when playing Hi-Res formats. The lightweight tweeter membrane has a short stroke and high displacement speed, which guarantees accurate transmission of all the subtleties and nuances of the musical canvas. The soft dome perfectly covers even the lower range of the high-frequency spectrum and allows for a smooth transition between mid and high frequencies in conjunction with the midwoofer.
DALI Spektor 6 speakers boast a wide dispersion characteristic that allows the listener to enjoy surround sound even when they are not on the speaker's emission axis. Therefore, it is recommended to install these speakers parallel to each other and not turn them inward at an angle.
The individually designed drivers of this model are precisely matched to the geometry of its cabinet, accordingly, there is no need for additional frequency correction circuits in the crossover. This allows the use of simple filters equipped with selected elements and guaranteeing minimal losses. The flagship has a flat impedance, which reduces the requirements for amplifier selection.
The Danish company emphasizes that DALI Spektor 6 sound detailed, powerful, dynamic and can be used both as a stereo pair and as part of a DC system.
