Stands for Harbeth C7, Super HL 5
The FS 104 Signature adds a 3" center column, and it is this additional column that is key to its sonic signature. The very high degree of rigidity is achieved by four 1" satellite support columns and one 3" center column. This 3" center column can be easily loaded with specially selected inert filler and the amount of filler used determines the bass performance, so it can be fine-tuned to suit your specific speakers.
In the proprietary FS 104 loudspeaker stand, the 4 mm thick Acoustic Steel™ top plates and mild steel base plates are laser-cut in an "H" shape rather than a conventional rectangular plate. Acoustic Steel™ is a patented inert material designed to dissipate resonant energy from the installed speaker and is a key feature of the 104 Signature stand design. The base plates are also cut in an "H" shape from oiled and decapped mild steel. Both plates are hand-finished and powder coated.
The plates and columns are secured with high quality galvanized M8 bolts, which ensures a strong connection between these parts, and the spikes can be easily adjusted from above with an Allen key.
The stands are physically suitable for many stand-mounted speakers and, thanks to their good looks, will increase the obvious value of the loudspeakers. But it's the resulting sound quality that sets these stands apart from many others, including more expensive ones. The FS 104 Signature combines bass control with neutral impact without sacrificing other desirable features that loudspeakers may have.
Good bass synchronization, an open, accurate stereo image with an immersive and dynamic sound is achieved compared to other clunky stands that often produce a dull and closed sound.
