With every detail designed from scratch and after hundreds of hours of experimentation, Revival Audio engineers have now applied their own advanced technologies and technical solutions, and are proud to present ATALANTE, the first series with “next-level sound”, as the company's slogan says.
ATALANTE 5 is a three-way model equipped with a 28mm soft-dome tweeter that utilizes Revival Audio's patented ARID technology (a dome-shaped rear chamber that disperses over 95% of reflections).
The soft dome works like a piston at low frequencies (1-8 kHz), above that, the center of the dome remains stationary. The more higher frequencies are played, the less the dome itself emits sound. At very high frequencies, only the area around the voice coil (both on the dome and on the suspension) produces sound. The special shape of the suspension contributes to better dispersion, as the waves are freely dispersed to the sides.
The sandwich construction consists of a special felt applied to the back of the diaphragm and a special adhesive that provides the best damping.
The BSC woofer is lightweight and rigid with excellent damping, providing fast and smooth response with dense low frequency dynamics.
