8300A Silver
Description
The 8300A integrated stereo amplifier, produced by the British company AudioLab, is essentially a dual monoblock operating in class AB. Its RMS power rating is 75 watts per channel into 8 ohms, rising to 115 watts per channel into 4 ohms. The amplifier reproduces sounds in the frequency range from 10 Hz to 20,000 Hz, while the nonlinear distortion coefficient is only 0.001%, and the signal-to-noise ratio exceeds 107 dB, thanks to which, despite its magnitude, the sound has rare purity and clarity. On the rear panel there are analog inputs, represented by two balanced XLRs and an RCA section of CD, video, tuner, Aux 1, Aux 2 and phono connectors. The front panel is equipped with a 2.7-inch OLED display. Synchronization of operating modes with other components of the audio system is carried out through communication via a 12V trigger. The output terminals for connecting speakers are represented by two pairs of screw terminals. The amplifier is equipped with a phono stage that supports MM and MC cartridges. The black body is made of finely textured aluminum.
The Audiolab 8300A integrated amplifier is the successor to the legendary 8000A, which at one time became one of the most successful amplifiers ever released by the British industry. The 8300A has a dual mono design and operates in class AB, delivering up to 75 W per channel into 8 ohms.
Compared to the previous generation, the 8300A is equipped with a higher-power power transformer, larger storage capacitors and larger heatsinks, which allows for increased output power. In addition, due to the resurgence in popularity of vinyl, engineers developed a phono stage for the 8300A that supports both MM and MC cartridges.
New technology - Active Current Delivery guarantees clear sound until the signal reaches the clipping level, after which the microprocessor forcibly limits the output to eliminate the appearance of noticeable distortion even at maximum volume and power of 75 W RMS.
In addition to the best sound quality, renowned amplifier designer Jan Ertner also thought about ease of operation - implemented on the basis of a new display. The fact is that the 8300A can be used as an integrated amplifier, as a power amplifier, as a preamplifier, or as a separate pre-amplifier and amplifier, which makes it easy to include it in a wide variety of Hi-Fi systems.
The 8300A volume control is implemented on chips containing resistor assemblies with a logarithmic ratio of precision values.
Loopback via a 12V trigger signal allows all components in the audio system to be turned on or put into standby mode simultaneously.
Most importantly, of course, the new, ultra-efficient circuitry and improved components inside the Audiolab 8300A create a whole new listening experience for your favorite music.
