Coldplay reissues all albums on clear eco-vinyl

In 2025, Coldplay will take a major step in the music industry by reissuing all of their albums on a new vinyl format, Clear EcoRecord Vinyl, made from 100% recycled plastic. It's not just a reissue, it's a real manifesto of environmental responsibility."

Next Generation EcoVinyls

The new records are made of rPET — the same material as plastic beverage bottles. On average, one record contains plastic from nine recycled bottles. The entire process - from collecting used bottles to creating the plates - is carried out using innovative injection molding technology.

Each record:

  • weighs 140 grams,

  • is made without harmful impurities,

  • demonstrates an 85% reduction in CO₂ emissionsemissions compared to traditional vinyl,

  • and retains the high sound quality and aesthetics of the classic format.

Continuation of Coldplay's environmental mission

This release is a logical continuation of the band's environmental initiative, which began with the release of the album "Moon Music" in 2024, the world's first release on EcoRecord. Also, during the "Music Of The Spheres" world tour, Coldplay managed to reduce CO₂ emissions by 59%, setting a new standard for the concert industry.

According to Parlophone, this is a pioneering format that not only preserves the familiar sound of your favorite albums, but also significantly reduces the impact on the environment. Clear EcoRecord is the future that is already here.
