Warning is a British doom metal band formed in Harlow, Essex, England, in 1994. The group is widely regarded as one of the most influential acts in emotional and traditional doom metal, known for its slow, heavy riffs, melancholic atmosphere, and deeply personal songwriting. The band was founded by vocalist, guitarist, and songwriter Patrick Walker.

Warning began its career with the demo releases Revelation Looms (1996) and Blessed by the Sabbath (1997), which earned attention within the underground metal scene. Their debut album The Strength to Dream was released in 1999 and quickly gained cult status among doom metal fans. The band's greatest acclaim came with Watching from a Distance (2006), an album now considered one of the defining releases of the genre.

The band's best-known songs include “Watching from a Distance,” “Bridges,” “Footprints,” and “Faces.” In 2026, Warning returned with Rituals of Shame, their first studio album in two decades, marking a highly anticipated comeback.
