Puscifer is an American musical project founded in 2003 by singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist Maynard James Keenan, best known as the frontman of Tool and A Perfect Circle. Blending alternative rock, electronic music, industrial influences, art rock, and experimental sounds, Puscifer serves as a creative outlet for ideas beyond the scope of Keenan’s other bands.

The project began as an experimental venture and evolved into a full-fledged musical act with the release of its debut album V Is for Vagina in 2007. The album introduced Puscifer’s signature mix of electronic textures, rock instrumentation, and dark humor. Subsequent releases, including Conditions of My Parole (2011), Money Shot (2015), Existential Reckoning (2020), and Existential Reckoning: Re-Wired (2023), further established the project as one of the most innovative acts in alternative music.

Among Puscifer’s most popular songs are “The Humbling River,” “Conditions of My Parole,” “Momma Sed,” “Grand Canyon,” “The Remedy,” and “Apocalyptical.” Vocalist Carina Round has become an essential contributor to the project’s sound through her prominent role in recordings and live performances. Puscifer is also known for its extensive remix catalog, creative collaborations, and theatrical live productions.

What makes Puscifer unique is its unrestricted artistic approach. Combining electronic experimentation, alternative rock, cinematic atmospheres, and intelligent satire, the project offers a distinctive identity that stands apart from Maynard James Keenan’s other musical endeavors while continually pushing creative boundaries.
