Childhood and Early Life
Born into a large peasant family in the village of Nedilyshche, Zhytomyr region, she was the fifth of eleven children.
From a young age, she helped care for her siblings — an experience that shaped her character and emotional sensitivity in performance.
Creative Journey
Her repertoire was based on Ukrainian folk songs — ritual, lyrical, ballads — as well as works by contemporary composers.
She performed not only in Ukraine but also in Canada, Poland, France, the USA, Mexico, South Korea, and across Latin America, promoting Ukrainian culture internationally.
She collaborated with leading ensembles and choirs: “Mriya,” “Berezen,” “Kobza,” “Dudaryk,” “Khreshchatyk,” and the A. Revutsky Capella.
Her most famous songs include: “Lullaby,” “Flower-Soul,” “The Nightingales Laugh and Cry,” “The Bird Has Sat,” “Oh, the Wild Geese Were Flying.”
