Madame is an Italian singer, rapper and songwriter, born Francesca Calearo in Vicenza, Italy, in 2002. Her music combines hip-hop, pop, contemporary R&B and elements of the Italian singer-songwriter tradition.

Madame began her professional career in 2018 with the singles “Anna” and “Sciccherie.” The latter brought her significant attention and achieved platinum certification. In 2021, she made her Sanremo debut with “Voce”, followed by the release of her self-titled debut album Madame. The album won the Targa Tenco award for Best Debut Album.

Her early breakthrough was followed by tracks such as “Baby” and “Il mio amico”, as well as collaborations with some of Italy’s most prominent artists, including Marracash, Sfera Ebbasta, Marco Mengoni, Lazza, Rose Villain, Ariete and Gaia.

In 2023, Madame returned to the Sanremo Festival with “Il bene nel male”, which finished seventh and appeared on her second studio album, L’amore. She has also established herself as a songwriter: Madame co-wrote “La noia” for Angelina Mango, a song that won the 2024 Sanremo Festival.

In 2026, Madame returned after a lengthy recording hiatus with her third studio album, DISINCANTO. The 14-track project blends rap, pop and electronic elements and features collaborations with Marracash, 6occia, Nerissima Serpe and Papa V. The album explores personal experiences, uncertainty, relationships and self-discovery.

What makes Madame distinctive is her combination of street poetry, unconventional vocal phrasing, experimental flow and literary songwriting. She moves effortlessly between rap and melodic singing, placing strong emphasis on the language and emotional depth of her lyrics. This approach has established her as one of the most distinctive voices of the new generation of Italian music.
