Hyphen Dash is a Kyiv-based Ukrainian band working at the intersection of jazz fusion, electronics, hip-hop, and progressive rock. Formed in 2019, the group quickly became one of the most exciting names on the new Ukrainian scene thanks to its mix of improvisation, heavy groove, and fearless genre-blending. Over the years, Hyphen Dash have released a live EP, demo mixtapes, singles, and collaborations, while their most notable releases include Basement 626, recorded in Kramatorsk near the front line, and the full-length album LATE, which cemented their reputation as one of Ukraine’s strongest young jazz projects. What makes Hyphen Dash stand out is the way they combine jazz freedom with electronic pulse, rock energy, and a distinctly contemporary Ukrainian sensibility, creating a sound that feels experimental, cohesive, and vividly alive at the same time.
