Fantom-2 is a Ukrainian Eurodance band formed in 1996 by Roman Matiash and Olga Grechko, who were romantic partners. Roman Matiash, born on April 23, 1975, in Khmelnytskyi to a family of doctors, moved to Ivano-Frankivsk in childhood, where the band's story began. His musical career started earlier with the techno group Sound in 1992, which performed at the Chervona Ruta festival in 1993 and placed second. In October 1996, Fantom-2 released their debut album titled "Two." The band gained some international notice through a 1996 song contest entry with "Two." What makes Fantom-2 unique is their obscurity amid the post-Soviet Ukrainian music scene, with limited surviving information often overshadowed by unrelated references like military tanks, highlighting their status as a niche Eurodance act from the 1990s.
