DK Energetyk, also known as ДК Енергетик, is a **post-punk** band from **Ukraine**. The duo or trio was founded in early 2022 by frontman Марний (Yakov Marnyy), with guitarist Vsevolod Shutka (also from Ulytsia Vostok) and bassist Oleksandr 'Fol' Folianskyi, hailing from the Kyiv-Brovary area. The band began as a project led by Марний and quickly expanded, releasing two albums in 2023: *Yunist* (Іunist), which showcased their development with engaging lyrics and sound, and another untitled album. Key singles from 2023 include "Енергетик," "30," "Tanok," "Kviti," "Artist," and "Probach," noted for their intense guitar riffs, introspective themes, catchy choruses, and emotional depth blending rock and indie elements. In 2024 or later, they collaborated with Ukrainian post-punk band Small Depo on the single "Cherga," a Ukrainian-language track about grief, family loss, reconciliation with time, and moving forward, with music by Small Depo members and lyrics co-written by Yakiv Marnyi and Maksym Ishchenko, mixed by Seva Shutka. They reached the finals of Ukraine's Eurovision National Selection, gaining recognition among gamers for ties to *Stalker 2*. DK Energetyk stands out for channeling the gritty essence of 90s post-Soviet Ukraine through raw post-punk intensity, throbbing rhythms, powerful vocals, and a fusion of melancholic indie rock with thought-provoking lyrics on love, sorrow, human growth, and emotional rebellion, creating a fresh yet recognizable sound in the Ukrainian scene.
