Confidence Man is an Australian electro-pop and dance-pop group from Brisbane, known for their ironic style, theatrical stage personas, and a playful blend of electronic dance music, pop, and indie influences. The band stands out for its satirical approach to pop culture and highly stylized live performances.
Confidence Man emerged in the late 2010s and gained attention with their debut album Confident Music for Confident People (2018), which featured energetic, club-ready tracks that quickly gained traction in the dance music scene. Their second album Tilt (2022) expanded their sound with stronger disco, house, and electro-pop influences. In 2024, they released 3AM (La La La), further refining their modern electronic direction.
Notable tracks include “Boyfriend (Repeat),” “Holiday,” “Does It Make You Feel Good?,” “Now U Do” (with DJ Seinfeld), and “I Can’t Lose You.” Their live shows are known for being performance-heavy, featuring exaggerated alter egos such as Janet Planet and Sugar Bones, turning concerts into theatrical dance spectacles.
What makes Confidence Man unique is their fusion of club music with humor, irony, and performance art. They transform pop and dance music into a tongue-in-cheek spectacle while maintaining strong, infectious electronic energy.
