High-quality four-track audio recording for music, movies, podcasts and more
Zoom is always generating new ideas to improve its compact portable recorders. The new H4n Pro takes everything fans of the H4n loved, but takes it to a new level. H4n Pro is not just an improved version, but a model that surpasses the previous one in all respects. Improved X/Y microphones, amplifiers providing incredibly natural sound, ultra-low noise figures. Thanks to this, you will be able to record absolutely everything as realistically as possible - up to the fluttering of hummingbird wings. So meet the new gold standard in the world of audio recording.
A favorite of filmmakers
The H4n Pro has features that make it ideal for recording audio movies. Built-in X/Y microphones provide stunning stereo, two combo inputs with jack connectors allow you to use your favorite microphones. The recorder also has a line output, making it easy to send stereo directly to the camera.
Indispensable at a concert
Pro is ideal for recording live performances. It is able to withstand up to 140 dB, and therefore even heavy metal with its awesome power is in his teeth.
To podcasters and journalists
The H4n Pro is a great combination of microphone versatility, portability and excellent audio quality. And all this is necessary for a convincing sounding of interviews and podcasts. The device records WAV files for synchronization with the captured video in post-production. This way you get high-quality audio right on top of your live video (especially thanks to the 1/4 inch stereo inputs).
Mobile studio
The novelty is packed with all kinds of functions, instrumental effects and studio-level emulators. You can create songs from start to finish. The Pro also functions as a USB audio interface for PC or Mac. Add your favorite recording and editing software or use the built-in Cubase LE software. And start creating!
High-quality microphone amplifiers
The Pro features the same high-quality playback and low-noise microphone amplifiers as the popular Zoom H5 and H6 recorders, with 24-bit/96kHz recording and playback capabilities. The improved noise limit (-120 dBu EIN) allows you to pick up sound at the lowest volume, without accompanying noise.
Built-in stereo recording
X/Y stereo recording covers a wide area, with its central sound sources recorded very accurately. The angle of the two unidirectional condenser microphones can be easily changed from 90 to 120 degrees for wider coverage. To do this, you just need to turn the microphone capsules.
The H4n Pro is equipped with a built-in MS decoder for recording to external microphones. This allows you to adjust the stereo volume, which in turn is very important for sound design and broadcasting.
Inputs and outputs
INPUTS: Two lockable combo connectors accept both XLR and ¼-inch balanced/unbalanced cables, supporting mic and line signals as well as instrument signals. +24 or +48 phantom power can be used on both inputs. Plus a microphone 1/8" stereo input "Jack" for external audio sources, including microphones that require additional power.
Form matters
The rubber coated, ergonomic body of the device is ideal for use in the fields or with the camera. New locking XLR/TRS connectors keep your microphone cables safe. The highly portable H4n Pro can travel with you everywhere!
Three recording methods
In "Stereo" mode, the built-in X/Y microphones (or external microphones) are used. This mode is suitable for recording live performance, acoustic instruments, dialogue and more.
In 4CH mode, you can record with the built-in X/Y microphones and two external inputs at the same time, which is great for recording live room sound and stereo imaging.
MTR (multi-track) mode turns your device into a four-track studio with built-in effects, a track re-recording function and the ability to work with pre-recorded sound files.
