The Yamaha RX-V6A seven-channel AV receiver is an older and noticeably more powerful model in the line, designed to create a full-fledged home theater with three-dimensional surround sound.
The device is made in the new minimalist style of the brand with a glossy central panel, a large volume control and sensitive touch buttons, which gives it a modern look. Thanks to the solid power of 100 W per channel at 6 Ohms, the receiver easily copes with even demanding floor-standing speakers, providing excellent dynamic coverage, deep bass and high clarity of details. Reliable screw terminals are provided for connecting speakers on the rear panel, and the presence of Pre Out outputs for the front channels allows you to expand the system with external power amplifiers if necessary.
The main difference between this model and the younger one is support for advanced three-dimensional audio formats Dolby Atmos and DTS:X, which allow you to build a 5.2.2 configuration with upper ceiling or directional channels. The network functionality is based on the company's MusicCast multi-room platform, which provides seamless access to streaming services, Internet radio and allows you to connect audio devices throughout the house, including using wireless rear speakers. Integration with mobile devices is provided by AirPlay 2 protocols and two-way Bluetooth, which works both for receiving and distributing signals to wireless headphones.
Optimizing the sound for individual room geometry and furnishings is done using the advanced YPAO-R.S.C. auto-calibration system, which uses multi-point measurement to precisely control reflected sound waves and adjusts the frequency response, providing a perfectly balanced and coherent studio-quality soundstage.
